Our client is a US based HR consulting firm founded more than 60 years ago, with 75 offices operating in 42 countries and is currently seeking a Business Development Consultant.
The Position – Business Development Consultant
Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Country Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking planning, sales and marketing activities to ensure the achievement of budgeted sales and revenue targets. He/She must ensure the provision of a professional level of pre/post sales support to clients. The successful candidate would proactively contribute to the market development efforts of the country team to ensure the achievement of growth and profitability objectives. He/She is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, as well as developing new product offerings to new and existing clients and provide prompt support to the Country Manager and the country team.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of sales in a large multinational corporation with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a sales environment. He/She would at least have a degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
The successful candidate is a self-confident, customer-service oriented executive with excellent interpersonal skills. He/She has good relationship building skills and should demonstrate a teamwork spirit exercising flexibility and showing initiative in seeking information. Being achievement oriented, he/she shows persistence and yet would exercise self control where required.
· An understanding of HR consulting industry.
· An understanding of remuneration practices in the local context and global trends in human resources, especially in the area of compensation and benefits.
· Excellent negotiation skills.
· Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
· Excellent command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
